The comics is really in debt to the Argentinean school of comics. Among multiply Askold’s influences were Breccia, Pratt and Munoz, and he admired Ted McKeever as well. In my turn, I was somewher inspired by the Carlos Sampayo way of storytelling. I had read Joe’s Bar, Sudor Sudaca and Sinner’s stories in English translation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7498791.post-6863784129962152192007-11-26T09:40:00.000+00:002007-11-26T09:40:00.000+00:00You're more than welcome, and thank you once again...You're more than welcome, and thank you once again. If you need an English translation, a proper one, of any of my texts (I've written on Akishin's book based on Bulgakov), just ask me and I'll send it. It will be my pleasure.
Thank you once again for all the information!
PedroPedro Mourahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13850102500313668884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7498791.post-74573204831442955332007-11-26T08:50:00.000+00:002007-11-26T08:50:00.000+00:00Muito obrigado, Pedro! (You just wait!) is a popular Russian animated series. The comics are drawn by Aleksey Kotyonochkin.
I edit the magazine and prepare for printing.
The co-leading character Wolf is not so scary as he looks. In the heart of his heart he is a nice sensitive person, and is admired by children :)
Actually, Nu Pogodi! has a great deal of history behind it. Several Russian generations have grown up with the series:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nu_pogodi
Thank you for an excellent blog! I do not know Portuguese, but am able to get some points via online translator.
Misha ZaslavskyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7498791.post-51031109433654176342007-11-25T18:58:00.000+00:002007-11-25T18:58:00.000+00:00Dear Mishaza, thank you for your commentary. I was not very precise in that period, but I did refer that in general most of the work published in this anthology was previously available in English (curtailing a more ample consideration of comics production in geographical terms). I do not think that "Snow" was published in English before, and it seems that the relationship of the editor and the author was direct, so the translation must have been provided by Akishin himself. It is a superb story. I am sorry for not being clear and leading to a mistake.
Your site and work seem to be very sucessuful, and I am sorry I can't read it! Are you the artist of the Ну, погоди comics? The main character seems oddly spooky!
Spasiba!
Pedro MouraPedro Mourahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13850102500313668884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7498791.post-29543301609886863622007-11-25T12:44:00.000+00:002007-11-25T12:44:00.000+00:00Thank you for review! You point out that there was another English publication before this war anthology. Please could you specify the edition?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
